LOGISTICS &
HOSPITALITY
GREETINGS SAILORS!
The Hospitality Committee is looking forward to working with competitors to assist with race preparation.
The A2N Hospitality Committee is designed to help you with some of your shoreside logistics in Annapolis and Newport, help answer your questions before you get to the starting line and greet you on your arrival in Newport. Our role is to make sure all our sailors have a fun time and get the most out of their Annapolis to Newport Race experience.
We have the Competitors Send-Off Party on Thursday night before the first start with complimentary entrance for two people per entry. The Awards Party and Trophy Presentation on the Wednesday following the race is open for all crew members on the Crew Waiver list. Wristbands for competitors will be handed out during onsite registration in Annapolis. Additional social passes will be available for purchase for family & friends, for both the Send-Off and Awards Parties, online, approximately one month before the start.
As boats enter the race, we will be reaching out to offer our assistance. If we don’t have the answer for you, we’ll do the research and get back to you! Make sure you look at the individual pages for Annapolis and Newport which include information on accommodations, transportation, grocery & liquor stores, and dockage.
When you arrive in Newport the Committee will endeavor to meet you on the dock if you arrive at Newport Yachting Center (NYC), our Race Headquarters in Newport. If you have booked dockage at NYC, we will have information on your slip, available at onsite registration in Annapolis. We will have your welcome gift ready for your arrival and for those not staying at NYC, please make sure to ask about your welcome gift when you come the Race Office to return your Race Tracker.
We look forward to a great race this year, and we encourage you to communicate your questions with our wonderful volunteers who want to make this year the very best A2N race for you and your crew.
Sincerely,
Bob and Cindi Gibson
